Bonus Photo Essay : Fashion Truce
The “models” in this photo story are real gang members from both the Crips and the Bloods. These young men were working hard to promote a truce in their neighborhood and we went down to tell their story. They made fun of the “fashion” we dressed them in and they were a joy to shoot. We are so quick to just stereotype people who are different. I believe the first path to peace is communication and focusing on what we have in common and not demonize people who don’t understand.
